Here’s a brief description of the workshop theme: “Transmuting Emotions: Mudra, Form and More”
To flow effortlessly in and out of postures, it is essential to stay vibrant and grounded in the patterns of mind, emotion, form and movement. Mental and emotional equanimity can be cultivated through this type of balanced, embodied form head to toe, left to right and inside to outside. Using the framework of the ashtanga series of postures to reveal that calm, clarity and lasting happiness is not only possible, but comes quite naturally.
Mornings will be guided asana practice. In afternoon class we will work with the principle of joining together on multiple layers of awareness all that we are doing. We practice chanting, meditation, pranayama and dip into some philosophical discussion as the final “form” of an integrated practice.
